It seems too fine a point but it can’t be dismissed: You can’t improve a patient’s health if they don’t agree to the treatment. This session will focus on how to engage effectively with dental patients, both by using good personal communication skills and technology, to increase the likelihood of case acceptance. Dr. Leslie Pasco will share her blueprints toward efficiently using chairside time to nudge the patient into making an informed decision, particularly when it comes to restorative work including implants, crowns, and bridges. Better your patients’ well-being and your bottom line.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the one thing dentists do that kills case acceptance and how to avoid it.
  • Understand why some patients do not move forward on the planned treatment and what simple changes can be made to help patients accept the care they need.
  • Examine proper flow of a patient throughout the entire office to create a better patient experience and increased treatment acceptance.
  • Assess how to incorporate the entire team throughout treatment planning steps.

About the Presenter

Dr. Leslie Pasco, the Lifestyle Dentist, is a general dentist of 25 years, practice management consultant, and professional speaker. Always passionate about improving the health and wellness of others, Dr. Leslie’s goal is to make your practice work for you, rather than you working for it. As the dental industry is facing mounting challenges; from rising costs and student loans to complicated insurance claims, today’s dentists are under a lot of stress and it is Dr. Leslie’s goal to decrease the profession’s stress and increase its quality of life.  After graduation and association Dr. Leslie purchased a small practice producing $350,000/year and grew it to over $4 million/year while only working in it less than 50% of the time. She sold the practice, relocated, started a scratch practice and has now recently sold the practice of 10 years to  retire from clinical dentistry and focus on helping the dental profession. She is a University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine graduate, alumni and board member and as a professional speaker she speaks at many dental conventions and private events both live and virtually on subjects like communication, organization and leadership. Personally, she is a wife and mother who loves to cook.
