Summary
For many dentists, selling a practice is one of the most significant financial and professional decisions of their career. Concerns about outstanding debt, finding the right successor, maintaining income, protecting team members, preserving patient relationships, and fear of losing clinical autonomy can make it difficult to determine the right path forward. One of the most common questions practice owners ask is: “When is the best time to sell?” The answer depends on far more than financial factors alone.
In this webinar, attendees will gain a practical understanding of the factors that influence practice value, marketability, and transition success. Participants will explore how personal goals, practice performance, market conditions, and industry trends can impact the ideal timing for a transition. The program will also address common misconceptions surrounding practice sales and provide insight into how proactive planning can help maximize both financial outcomes and long-term career satisfaction.
Topics will include:
- Key indicators that may signal a favorable time to consider a transition
- How practice profitability, patient growth, and operational efficiency affect valuation
- The impact of rising overhead, staffing challenges, and debt obligations on transition planning
- Current market trends influencing dental practice acquisitions
Coming out of this webinar, practice owners will have a clearer picture of their options and make informed decisions about the future of their practice.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the key personal, financial, and market factors that influence the optimal timing for selling a dental practice.
