Although advances in implant esthetic dentistry have been continuing to develop, complications still occur. Esthetic compromise including pink porcelain, prosthetic misfit, unesthetic restorations and patient dissatisfaction are a daily occurrence. The result of poor implant treatment planning can be mechanical failure and/or biologic failure ultimately resulting in financial failure. This course will review proper placement protocols and strategies for when ideal placement is not an option.
