UOR 2014 Radical healing is a course that covers many of the alternative healing modalities that our patients are using either on their own or with a holistic health practitioner. Exactly what is the history of these health-care options? What type of education does the health-care provider have? Do any of these alternative options interfere with the information and care that we provide in the dental setting? We will explore health-care options ranging from homeopathy to herbalism to essential oils to ayurveda and acupuncture. We will also review some of the new trends within traditional medicine such as integrative medicine and functional medicine. As health-care providers ourselves, we need to explore these modalities with open eyes and mind.
