Gum disease is no longer best managed with a one-size-fits-all approach. This webinar explores the evolution of periodontal care through a biofilm-centered, technology-driven lens. Participants will learn how guided biofilm therapy (GBT), disclosing agents, voice-activated periodontal charting software, and adjunctive therapies work together to improve diagnostic accuracy, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes.
The course will also examine emerging and evidence-based adjuncts. Emphasis will be placed on reducing pathogenic bacteria, supporting a healthy oral microbiome, and improving long-term periodontal stability while elevating efficiency and patient experience in the hygiene operatory.
This webinar is designed for dental hygienists and dental professionals seeking to move beyond traditional periodontal therapy and embrace a modern, minimally invasive, and prevention-focused approach to gum health.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Explain the role of biofilm in periodontal disease and how guided biofilm therapy (GBT) improves biofilm removal while preserving tooth structure and soft tissue.

- Describe the clinical and workflow benefits of voice-activated periodontal charting software, including improved accuracy, efficiency, and ergonomic advantages.
