With an ever growing body of research it is imperative that members of the dental team be educated and vigilant when caring for patients. In this webcast, participants will review the following systemic disorders and their relationship to oral health and disease; diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Within the last ten years there has also been a growing number of organ donation surgeries, as technology and pharmaceuticals continues to advance surgical techniques.
