Successful restorative outcomes depend on achieving a durable and predictable adhesive interface. This session will explore the science of adhesion, focusing on key clinical factors such as substrate preparation, solvent evaporation, adhesive film thickness, and light-curing strategies. Practical insights will be shared to help clinicians overcome common pitfalls and achieve consistency in adhesive delivery. Additionally, modern applicator innovations, including medmix’s ZerofloX tip, will be introduced as tools that can support reliable and reproducible bonding results in daily restorative practice.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the fundamental principles of adhesion and their impact on restorative longevity.
  2. Identify common clinical challenges in adhesive application and strategies to minimize variability.
  3. Apply practical tips to achieve uniform adhesive films and optimal polymerization.
  4. Evaluate how delivery techniques and applicator design, such as the ZerofloX tip, may enhance efficiency and consistency.
  5. Integrate evidence-based adhesive protocols into daily practice to improve restoration outcomes and patient satisfaction.
